The GCT Board

GCT is led by a hardworking volunteer group of officers and board members. Currently, GCT is served by Co-Presidents Michael Ferrara and Stewart Hanges, who are ably assisted by their officers and board.

The GCT Board of Directors would like to thank Immediate Past President, Kelly Kirby, for her service & dedication to GCT. In a ceremony on May 20, 2011, GCT's Director of Development, Jean Eifert, presented Kelly with the President's Award: A silver bowl, with the names of all GCT's past presidents engraved on it.

The Spelvin Award

GCT created the Spelvin Award to honor those members who, over a continued period of time, served GCT "over and above and beyond the call of duty." Our Spelvin winners have been the leaders and guiding spirits of GCT, and year after year are among our busiest and most dedicated members.

George Spelvin was a fictitious stage name used in the cast lists of American theatrical productions. First found in 1886 in Karl the Peddler, Spelvin's name as a playbill identity to cover doubling has persisted in more than 10,000 Broadway performances since George's debut. GCT created the Spelvin Award to honor those members who, over a continued period of time, served GCT "over and above and beyond the call of duty."

In our 40+ years, the number of Spelvin winners is relatively small, although the contributions have been—and continue to be—tremendous. The 2011 recipient is Linda Mariano.
