The Company

Founded in 1965, Greenville Community Theater (GCT) is a community theater company based in Scarsdale, New York. GCT produces two fully-staged shows a year at Edgemont High School - an attractive, comfortable and well-appointed theater of 304 seats. Shows

GCT staffs each play with an experienced Director, Stage Manager, Production Manager, and Set Designer. Other members head up committees that build, paint and decorate the set and provide lighting, sounds, props, costumes, makeup, playbill, publicity, photography, flyers, and front-of-the-house amenities. Sometimes as many as 80 members contribute to a show's success.

The spring production, four original one act plays: Fallen Angels by Jean Eifert, Getting Played by Judy Klass, Happy Days Are Here Again by Bruce Bloom and Waiting by Michael Ferrara. Getting Played will be directed by Michael Ferrara; Waiting will be directed by Jean Eifert. Other directors will be announced. More info...

Workshops

GCT workshops are performed each month, following the monthly business meeting, at the Greenville School in Scarsdale. The next workshop, which will take place on Friday, February 17th at 8:00 PM, is Stewart Hanges's Cenotaph. More info....

Established in 1965 as the Council for the Arts in Westchester, they are New York State's largest private, not-for-profit service organization, working to ensure the availability and accessibility of the arts for all of the county's residents.
